Dr Kanika Sahni is an Additional Professor in the Department of Dermatology and Venereology. She completed her MBBS from AIIMS, New Delhi and MD Dermatology at PGIMER, Chandigarh where she was the recipient of the coveted Kataria Memorial Gold medal for best postgraduate across all specialties.
Dr Sahni is also the recipient of many awards including MGM Medical College Award for Best paper in National Conference of IADVL in 2010 and first runner up in Dermatology Quiz for Postgraduates in 2010 and Imrich Sarkany non European memorial scholarship in 2018.
She is a passionate dermatosurgeon having expertise in many surgical procedures including vitiligo surgery, fat transfer, skin cancer surgeries and aesthetic procedures. Her passion led her to train in Cosmetic Dermatology and Lasers under Dr Martin Kassir, Texas, USA and she was awarded the International Society of Dermatology mentorship.
She has conducted research on vitiligo, pigmentary dermatoses, fat transfer, dermatosurgery and quality of life in skin diseases. She is an avid academician with more than 50 publications and numerous book chapters and an invited faculty at numerous national and international conferences and live surgical workshops. Dr Sahni also serves as the Content Editor of the IJDVL.

He served at Comprehensive Rural Health Services Project, Ballabgarh from 2014 to 2019. He has authored a book on Primary Health Care- Indian Scenario with support of World Health Organization- Country Office India and has several publications in National and International indexed peer reviewed journals. He has led health systems based projects evaluating performance of national health initiatives at district and block levels. He is also the nodal person for Innovation and Learning Centre and strengthening implementation of comprehensive primary health care in aspirational district Mewat of Haryana. With keen interest in teaching and training, has conducted and organized several trainings on research methods and monitoring and evaluation. He is currently the nodal person for organizing trainings and workshops on Operational Research as part of Department of Health Research Scheme for Human Resource Development. He has also designed along with team of personnel from World Health Organization, a course on programme management for district and block based programme managers involved in implementation of national health programmes. He is also currently part of AIIMS technical support unit on cause of death ascertainment through verbal autopsy systems and Anaemia Mukht Bharat at Centre for Community Medicine. He has contributed to several national public health programmes. As a faculty, he currently guides MD, PhD and MSc nursing students in public health, epidemiology and operational research projects.

Work Experience
- Dr. Ravneet Kaur is working as faculty member in the Centre for Community Medicine since 2014. Before joining AIIMS, she worked as faculty member at PGIMER, Chandigarh. She has extensive experience in undergraduate and post graduate medical teaching, and training of various cadres of health professionals. She is involved in e-learning and skills training of medical students.
- She is a national trainer for the Adolescent Friendly Health Services under the Rashtriya Kishor SwasthyaKaryakram (RKSK), and Anemia Mukt Bharat, and master trainer for MAA (IYCF) program.
- She served at CRHSP Ballabgarh from June 2014 to December 2018. As faculty in-charge for ward and labour room, she undertook various quality improvement (QI) initiatives.
- She has contributed in various national programs of the Government of India. She is a member of the National Centre of Excellence and Advanced Research on Anemia Control (NCEAR-A) and member of the AIIMS Technical Support Unit for the Office of Registrar General of India (ORGI) in implementing the SRS based verbal autopsy system for ascertaining cause of death in India.
- She is a member of the technical advisory group and project review committee of the ICMR for extramural ad-hoc projects.
- She has conducted research on various aspects of maternal health, anemia, maternal infant & young child nutrition, parenteral iron, quality of care, and other areas of public health importance. Dr. Mohan Bairwa is an Assistant Professor and Public Health Specialist. He did MBBS (SMS Medical College, Jaipur, India) and MD in Community Medicine (Pt B D Sharma University of Health Sciences, Rohtak, India). After MD, Dr. Bairwa has done Senior Residency at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi and University College of Medical Sciences, Delhi.
Before joining AIIMS, New Delhi, Dr. Bairwa was a Faculty of Public Health, Epidemiology and Health Management at the Institute of Health Management Research, and Program Coordinator and Faculty In-charge of Johns Hopkins-IIHMR co-operative MPH program at IIHMR University, Jaipur. He was a member of the Centre for Injury Research, and Centre of Health Systems and Policy Research at IIHMR University. He is a life member of the Indian Public Health Association (IPHA) and the Indian Association of Preventive and Social Medicine (IAPSM).
His areas of research interest are non-communicable diseases and injuries, urban health, primary care-based health systems, people-centered care, evidence-based public health, disease burden, research methods, and bibliometric studies.
Currently, Dr. Bairwa is a member of AIIMS Technical Support Unit for Verbal Autopsy based cause of death assignment to the Office of Registrar General of India (through MINErVA Network India) and Global Burden of Disease collaborators network. He is involved in WHO-UNITY studies for COVID-19 epidemiology and Medical Certification on Cause of Death studies at AIIMS and MINErVA network. Dr. Bairwa has supported WHO -SEARO in developing a course on People-centric Service Delivery for NCDs and its capacity-building initiatives in Southeast Asian countries. He has been faculty for AIIMS-PGIMER International Course on NCDs. Dr. Bairwa was Co-Principal Investigator of the National Taskforce Study for Comprehensive Integrated RTI Surveillance (IRIS India) and India - Feeding Infants and Toddlers Study and Kids Nutrition and Health Study (FITS/KNHS-India).
